Advertiser Staff

The state Transportation Department is warning drivers about several potential traffic problem areas today and tomorrow.

  • Today, one west-bound lane of Moanalua Freeway will be closed from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and one east-bound lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will be making emergency repairs to a median damaged earlier this month.
  • Also today, the right lanes of Nimitz Highway near Sand Island Access Road will be closed in both directions from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to install new traffic signals.
  • Tomorrow, one north-bound lane of H-2 Freeway will be closed from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Saturday for maintenance, for about a mile starting near the H-1/H-2 interchange. The north-bound on-ramp from Kamehameha Highway near Sam's Club also will be closed.
