Swimmers and divers from Hawai'i have won 34 All-America citations from the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.

The top 100 public school times and top 30 independent (private) school times were accorded All-American status.

Harvard-bound Hongzhe Sun of Iolani School led Hawai'i with All-American times in nine events, including a 200-yard individual medley time of 1 minute, 49.17 seconds that ranked first among independent schools and second among all high schools.

Sun ranked third among independent schools in the 100 backstroke (50.40), and fourth in both the 100 butterfly (49.73) and 100 freestyle (45.66).

Punahou junior Noa Sakamoto ranked fifth among independent schools in the 200 freestyle (1:39.55) and ninth in the 500 freestyle (4:31.92). Junior Randall Tom of Maui's Seabury Hall was No. 6 among independent schools in the 50 freestyle (21.11) and ninth in the 100 butterfly (51.26).

Iolani boys freestyle relay teams, featuring Sun and junior Mark Eckert Jr., ranked fourth and fifth.

The highest public-school rankings for Hawai'i were 13th in the girls 100 butterfly by Maui junior Chelsea Nagata and 15th in the 50 freestyle by Kapolei's Meredith Egloria.
