Three people died during the weekend on O'ahu, all apparently from drowning.

Two deaths happened Saturday, officials said.

A 75-year-old Nanakuli man, Jacinto Magusara, was found floating in the swimming lanes off Ala Moana Beach Park shortly after 11 a.m. He was taken to Straub Clinic & Hospital where, several hours later, he was pronounced dead.

A 48-year-old Mililani man, Alan Shinsato, was pulled from the water shortly after noon Saturday by bystanders near Bathtub Beach in La'ie.

They performed CPR until firefighters arrived and took over. Emergency Medical Services personnel took Shinsato to Kahuku Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The first accident happened Friday, when Sanford Reynolds, a visitor to Hawai'i, was discovered at the bottom of a swimming pool in Salt Lake.

Authorities said the 61-year-old man was taken to Tripler Army Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Autopsies were pending.
