Street scuffle results in arrest
Theft charges are pending against an 18-year-old Nanakuli man who is accused of stealing a camera that had fallen to the ground during a street fight last night in the 2300 block of Kuhio Avenue.
Police found the suspect on Kalakaua Avenue at 10:30, about 90 minutes after the fight, and arrested him on suspicion of stealing the camera, which also was found.
West Virginia swimmer dies in hospital
A 42-year-old woman from West Virginia who was pulled unconscious from waters off Maunalua Bay died yesterday at The Queen's Medical Center.
The medical examiner's office today identified her as Susann Lovejoy. An autopsy was performed today.
Three officers hurt in arrests
Three Honolulu police officers were injured yesterday while making arrests in separate incidents in 'Aiea and Mililani.
A 33-year-old man allegedly punched one officer in the face and scratched another's face while trying to flee on Kipapa Drive in Mililani at 5:20 p.m. The officers were trying to arrest the man on outstanding warrants. The two officers were treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released.
An officer responding to a protective-order violation at 4:30 p.m. on Kealaluna Drive in 'Aiea suffered minor facial injuries. A woman, 29, suspected of violating the court order, was arrested.
