Sizzler outlets put up for sale

Advertiser Staff

The Sallee family has decided to sell its five Sizzler restaurants on O'ahu. Gary Sallee, president of Sizzler Restaurants of Hawai'i, said he has been talking to a couple of local companies about selling the franchise, and will market the restaurants through a broker if necessary.

Sallee's parents, Betty and Frank, opened the first Hawai'i Sizzler in 1964 on Nimitz Highway. Sallee's parents have died, and Sallee and his wife want to get out of the business, in which their three sons are not interested. Sallee said the five Hawai'i restaurants bring in about $10 million in annual revenue.
