NAGOYA, Japan Yokozuna Asashoryu withdrew from the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament after stumbling to his second straight loss and a miserable 5-4 record yesterday.
Asashoryu's camp announced afterward he was dropping out because he was suffering from a bad right elbow. Asashoryu told reporters after seeing a doctor that his neck was also giving him trouble and his hands "felt numb."
