Hispanic TV visits Hawai'i
Advertiser Staff
A crew from Univision, the No. 1 U.S. Hispanic network and the fifth-largest network in the country, wound up a round of island tapings over the weekend for "Despierta America," the network's equivalent of NBC's "Today" show.
The tapings were done in Hilo and at the Rumours nightclub in the Ala Moana Hotel Thursday, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Friday and Saturday, and at the Polynesian Cultural Center in La'ie on Saturday.
Freddie Espinoza was the producer, said Univision Hawai'i publicist Faustino Angel Guzman. The morning program put a Hispanic spin on popular island outings, ranging from dancing to beach picnics.
In Hawai'i, Univision can be viewed on channel 60, but a UHF antenna is required for access; it's also on Dish network's channel 270.
