Friend faces murder trial
Advertiser Staff
A 53-year-old Kahuku man was bound over to Circuit Court by a District Court judge yesterday to stand trial on charges of second-degree murder in the July 8 shooting death of his friend.
Police say Colonel Robert Taylor was drinking the day of the fatal shooting, which was accidental. Taylor brought his wounded friend to Kahuku Hospital.
The victim was identified in a police report filed earlier in District Court as Jesus Camacho, 54, of Mexico. He died in surgery at The Queen's Medical Center.
Taylor is to be arraigned July 28 in Circuit Court.
