Los Baños offers resignation

Less than a month on the job, Todd Los Baños yesterday offered his resignation as athletic director at Saint Louis School, a colleague confirmed.

Los Baños declined comment last night.

Because of the sensitivity of the situation, the colleague who spoke with Los Baños wished to remain anonymous.

Messages to Saint Louis president Allen DeLong's spokeswoman regarding the reason for the resignation and whether the resignation has been accepted were not returned.

Los Baños was promoted from physical education teacher when the school named him athletic director on June 23.

The Crusaders' former wrestling coach replaced Cal Lee, who accepted an assistant coaching job with the University of Hawai'i football team.

Los Baños has taught at Saint Louis since 1997.
