BUSINESS BRIEFS
Aloha planes getting winglets

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Airlines contracted with Aviation Partners Boeing, a Seattle-based company, to add vertical winglets at the end of the wings on its fleet of 12 Boeing 737-700 jets.

The "Blended Winglet Technology," which costs several hundred thousand dollars per plane, increases fuel efficiency and reduces noise, according to Aviation Partners.

Warning on fake invoices issued

The Better Business Bureau issued a warning to businesses that Hawai'i companies have received fake invoices for "yellow page" ads from a "Greater Directories Company" in Manila.

The invoices are said to be identical to those of a legitimate local yellow page directory but are not authentic.

Businesses can call the Better Business Bureau at 536-6956 for more information.
