Mililani '94-Gold romps to Albino Cup soccer title

Mililani '94-Gold routed Temecula Soccer Club of California, 7-0, yesterday to win the boys 10-under team championship at the Albino Cup Soccer Tournament in Mission Bay, Calif.

DJ Gaboya, Leland Gomez and Aaron Goo scored two goals apiece and Austin Gonzalez added one.

Mililani '94-Gold won the Tide American Cup age-group Hawai'i state title in February at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Park.

GOLF

Tsukada wins Pua Melia: VIP Golf Club's Kathy Tsukada defeated Ku'ulei Kaae of Olomana on the second playoff hole to win the Pua Melia Women's Invitational at the Olomana Golf Links last weekend.

Both players shot 150 after two rounds to force the playoff.

Lily Peahi of Olomana claimed the overall low net title with a 136, with a 22 handicap.

Iyoki claims senior title: Mike Iyoki shot a 2-under-par 70 to take a four-stroke lead after the first round of the Club Car/Pacific Machinery Senior Club Professional Championship yesterday at Leilehua Golf Course.

Iyoki, the director of golf for the U.S. Army golf courses, was the only player below par.

Hilo Municipal golf director Rodney Acia is at 74, followed by Kaua'i Lagoon Resort's Rich Fite (75), Kapalua's Marty Keiter (76) and Steve Hookano (77) of Waikoloa Village Golf Course.

Today's final round begins at 10:40 a.m.
