Crews respond to spill in Wilhelmina Rise

City paramedics monitored the blood pressure of construction worker Sherwin Ancheta, second from right, after five employees of Inter-Island Construction complained of nausea and difficulty breathing when a liquid was spilled at the intersection of Sierra Drive and Iwi Way on Wilhelmina Rise yesterday afternoon.

Fire Department hazardous-materials workers were unable to determine what the liquid was because the small amount had dried quickly, Capt. Kenison Tejada said.
