50TH ANNIVERSARY KOREAN WAR ARMISTICE COMMEMORATION PARADE. Hawai'i's Korean War veterans will march down Kalakaua Ave. at 9 a.m., from Fort DeRussy to Kapi'olani Park, along with Army vehicles and artillery pieces.
SUNDAY
NATIONAL KOREAN WAR ARMISTICE DAY COMMEMORATION CEREMONY, 10 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Keynote address by retired Army Gen. Fred Weyand. There will be other prominent speakers, a presentation of wreaths, a 21-gun salute and a Missing Man Formation flyover by the 25th Infantry Division (Light) Aviation Brigade. A memorial postage stamp will be unveiled.
TRIBUTE TO HAWAI'I'S KOREAN WAR VETERANS, 6 p.m. at the Waikiki Shell. Includes tribute to celebrated local combat photographer Albert Chang, a tribute to prisoners of war and those missing in action. There will also be a cultural program featuring hula, traditional Korean dances and music by the 111th Army Band, Hawaii Army National Guard.
