Entries still open for Billfish Challenge

Entries are still being accepted for the Third Annual World Billfish Challenge, Thursday through Aug. 3, at the Ko Olina Resort and Marina on O'ahu.
Teams will fish from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Aug. 3, with points going to the largest ahi and marlin captured and tagged. Prizes are also awarded for top team, top angler (male and female) and top daily catches.

Surf contest set at Queen's Beach
The Hawaiian Longboard Company and the Hawai'i International Surf Museum will host the Seventh Annual Hawaiian Noseriding Classic Aug. 9 and 10 at Kuhio Beach Park and Queen's Beach in Waikiki.
The event, a benefit for Parents and Children Together, will include displays and sales of vintage and modern longboards, surf memorabilia and a surf contest open to the public.

Eldredges to hold baseball clinic
The Eldredge Athletics Youth Baseball Camp will be held Aug. 9 at the Punahou School baseball field.
The one-day camp is open to players ages 10 through 17, and will feature coaches Dave "Pop" Eldredge, sons Dave and Pal, grandsons Duane and Dave, and several local, professional and college athletes.
Registration is open to the first 80 applicants. Cost is $60. Applications are available at any O'ahu City Bank location, Rainbow Sports or can be requested via e-mail at eldredgeathletics@hawaii.rr.com. Deadline is Aug. 2. For more information or to help sponsor the event, call 681-5681.
Roughwater swim clinics at Waikiki
The Waikiki Roughwater swim committee will sponsor two free swim clinics, tomorrow at Kaimana Beach and Aug. 16 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach in preparation for the annual Roughwater Swim on Sept. 1.
