Crash kills Schofield soldier

A Schofield Barracks soldier was killed and another suffered minor injuries in a single-car accident on the post last night.

The accident occurred at 7:50 p.m. at Lyman and Trimble roads, Capt. Stacy Bathrick said last night.

The driver of the car was dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to Tripler Army Medical Center with minor injuries.

Both men were soldiers, she said. Schofield military police were investigating.
