Labor leaders discuss trends
Advertiser Staff
About 150 labor leaders will take up outsourcing, erosion of bargaining rights and civil service protections when they meet at the Tri-Annual Convention of International Federation of Professional & Technical Engineers at the Sheraton Waikiki today.
The delegates, representing about 80,000 engineers, scientists and technical workers in the public and private sectors, will consider formal opposition to the Bush administration's Fair Labor Standards Act.
