STAGE/SCREEN

Diamond Head Theatre auditions for men, women and boys who can sing and dance, for a Sept. 26-Oct. 12 production of the musical "Ragtime," 2-6 p.m. Saturday and 7-10 p.m. Sunday and Monday, DHT Rehearsal Hall, 520 Makapu'u Ave. 733-0277, ext. 309.

Documentary on Nan Madol seeks Micronesians, especially those from Pohnpei, who have been told stories about Nan Madol and can retell the story for the film. "Maid in America," a Fox TV reality series to air in November, seeks women between ages 21 and 30 employed as housekeepers, nannies, etc., for at least the past six months. ALOHA Festivals accepting applications from songwriters and chanters for the Aug. 23 Haku Mele competition at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. Applications at the Big Island Aloha Festivals office or by calling (808) 885-7786. Deadline: Friday.

24-7 Danceforce Studio auditions for full and part-time dance company members who participate in dance classes and a performance schedule. Auditions on Saturday for ages 4-8 from noon-1:30; ages 9-12 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.; ages 13-17 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.; and ages 18 and over at 6 to 7:30. Participation fees range from $7 to $10 per class or $120 per month, with some scholarships available for dancers over 14 years. Call for additional requirements: 235-5141.

MS. Hawaii Senior America Pageant seeks entries from women ages 60 and over, for the Sept. 28 pageant at Paliku Theatre. Must compete in interview, evening wear and talent. Winner moves on to the national pageant in Reno, Nev. Entry deadline is Aug. 8 with entry fee $150. 585-8116.
