Tonight's Must-See
"MTV Movie Awards," 9 p.m., MTV. The awards are meaningless, but this show tends to be great fun. It has music (Pink, 50 Cent, t.A.T.u.), comedy, young hosts (Justin Timberlake, Seann William Scott) and offbeat categories. A year ago, Kirsten Dunst predicted her "Spider-Man" scene with an upside-down Tobey Maguire would be nominated for best kiss. It was; other kiss nominees are "Daredevil," "Drumline," "Gangs of New York" and "Punch-Drunk Love."
Of Note
"Persona non Grata," 4 p.m., HBO. Writer-director Oliver Stone ("JFK," "Any Given Sunday") made this documentary about the Israel-Palestine conflict "Two angry people that cannot hear each other anymore," says former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres. This was made before the latest push for peace.
"Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. The network's night of reruns starts with the episode in which Phoebe meets Mike, almost by accident. Rachel needs a new pediatrician for Emma.
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, a death in a meat-packing plant leads to the investigation of a restaurant.
