John Angeles steadies himself as his teammates watch from below. After each obstacle, which is physically, mentally and emotionally challenging, team members discuss the experience and how it relates to life. The Ola I Ka Hana program is supported by Goodwill Industries of Hawaii.
Participants in the Ola I Ka Hana program for at-risk youths learn teamwork and leadership building at Kahi Mohala Behavioral Hospital. The youths, tethered to safety lines, faced several physical challenges at the 'Ewa facility yesterday. Among them was climbing a tall pole and leaping toward a trapeze a few feet away.
