LIHU'E, Kaua'i — Korean War veterans on Kaua'i are preparing for the 50th anniversary of the end of the conflict with a memorial wall at the Kaua'i Veterans Center. It will include the names of the Kaua'i residents who died in the war.

Veteran Royce Ebesu said organizers know of 32 soldiers who died in Korea, but to ensure accuracy, they hope anyone who knows of others will call him.

The known Korean War dead from Kaua'i, Ebesu said, are Kazuaki Akazawa, Alfredo Amis, Jose Balalong, Hitoshi Fujita, Takeshi Fujita, Alfredo M. Gampon, Gilbert M. Gushiken, Vernard K. Hookano, Mitsuyoshi Ishida, Hayato Kaneshiro, Sydney K. Kaui, Seiki Kimura, Satoru Kojiri, George M. Kumakura, Jimmie Dancell Labogen, George Lacro, Bonifacio Largusa, Daniel T. Miyashiro, Tomoyoshi Miyashiro, Tadao Murakami, Mitsuyuki Ota, Tom Parungao, Edward A. Queja, Kenneth M. Sakamoto, Takeshi Sasaki, Lawrence Shima, Kenneth K. Shimogawa, Richard R. Tokunaga, George T.
