CLASSES/WORKSHOPS

Call for Docents

Mission Houses Museum begins docent training for new and current volunteers. Classes will be held 9 a.m.-noon each Tuesday, July 15-Sept. 10. Japanese and Hawaiian speakers are encouraged to join English speaking trainees in learning about missionary and Hawaiian culture and history. Training fees are $50 for current docents and $85, which includes an individual annual membership, for new volunteers. CALLS TO ARTISTS

Cinema Paradise accepting film submission from Hawai'i residents in a variety of competitive classes for the Sept. 19-25 festival. All films must have been completed since Jan. 2001.
