Petwalk 2003 offers hike for people and paws

Celebrating the joy of animal companionship, Petwalk 2003 is an annual fund-raiser for the Hawaiian Humane Society.

This year, people and paws will take an easy stroll around Magic Island and Ala Moana Park on June 22, a Sunday.

The new location will better accommodate the hundreds of pet-lovers who show off all kinds of animals, earning pledge donations that help homeless animals on O'ahu. Walkers can participate with or without a pet.

Register that morning at 7 a.m. The walk begins at 8 a.m., and you can stay for more pet fun later at Magic Island.
