How Hawai'i hotels are faring

Statewide hotel occupancy fell for the week ended Saturday, according to Hospitality Advisors LLC, as occupancy rates on O'ahu and the Big Island declined. Maui and Kaua'i continued to fare better than O'ahu. Maui posted the highest occupancy rate at 77 percent and the highest average daily room rate at $191.34. The occupancy rate for Kaua'i also improved, although it recorded a decline in its average room rate.
