Ma'ili boy saves kitten from fire

Eleven-year-old Richie Foster holds a kitten he rescued from a fire near his home in Ma'ili yesterday. Richie heard the kitten's meows and walked over burning embers to save it.

The heat melted the straps on one of his sandals, forcing him to walk back across the hot surface with only one sandal on.
