Road Runner's e-mail disrupted

Customers of cable-modem Internet service Road Runner were unable to send and receive e-mail yesterday.

The problem was first reported at 7 a.m. and lasted through the afternoon. Company officials could not be reached to comment on the cause of the disruption.
