A 62-year-old man was charged Friday with 32 sexual assault counts involving a teen-age girl over three years..

Denis Aplaca is charged with eight counts each of first- and second-degree sex assault and 16 counts of third-degree sex assault. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Man charged in Pauoa heist

Police last week charged Rudy Artuyo, 49, with a Jan. 24 burglary in which an arc welder was stolen from a truck at a Pauoa Valley residence. Artuyo is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
