Tipper Gore told a gathering of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry last night that more work is needed to reduce the stigma of mental illness and increase access to care and services.
Tipper Gore was in Honolulu yesterday.
Gore, the wife of former Vice President Al Gore and a nationally recognized mental health advocate, spoke at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for the group's 16th annual convention.
The association now moves to three days of meetings at the Hawai'i Convention Center.
