Scored a game-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers, in a first-round loss to Baldwin in the state tournament.

Waiakea

Scored a team-high 14 points in the Warriors' 64-52 loss to Kamehameha in the first round of the state tournament, then had a tournament-high 42 points and 20 rebounds in an 86-80 double-overtime victory over Mililani in the consolation bracket.

Averaged 9.7 points per game and had a total of 12 steals and nine assists in three convincing victories at the Konawaena Invitational.

Scored 17 points in a 52-45 loss to Leilehua in the first round of the state tournament, 21 points in a 54-53 victory over Kaimuki in the consolation bracket and 22 points in a 65-57 loss to Waiakea in the consolation final.

Scored a game-high 26 points in the Sabers' 68-49 victory over Leilehua in the state tournament quarterfinals, then had 18 points in a 59-49 loss to Saint Louis in the semifinals.

Scored 14 points, including 11 in the pivotal fourth period, in the Warriors' 60-55 overtime victory over Kalaheo in the state quarterfinals.

Averaged 8.3 points per game and had a total of 10 rebounds and eight steals in three convincing victories at the Konawaena Invitational, earning Most Valuable Player honors along the way.

Scored 11 points in the Crusaders' 47-45 victory over Kaimuki in the first round of the state tournament and had 10 points in a 59-49 win over Maui in the semifinals.

Scored 17 points in the Raiders' 78-50 victory over Baldwin in the state tournament quarterfinals, 20 points in a 53-48 semifinal win over Kamehameha and 13 points in a 61-37 victory over Saint Louis for the championship to claim Most Valuable Player honors for the second straight year.

Scored a game-high 24 points, including four 3-pointers, to help the Mules defeat Waimea, 52-45, in the first round of the state tournament. Also scored a team-high 14 points in a quarterfinal loss to Maui and 12 points in a fifth-place game loss to Kalaheo.

Held Kaimuki's Daniel Tautofi scoreless in the game's first 31 minutes and kept him to a season-low two points, to help the Crusaders win 47-45 in the first round of the state tournament. Also scored 15 points in a quarterfinal victory over Kea'au.

CALEB SPENCER

Scored a season-high 18 points in the Warriors' 64-52 victory over Waiakea in the first round of the state tournament, then had 17 points, four rebounds and four steals in a 60-55 overtime win over Kalaheo in the quarterfinals.

DANIEL TAUTOFI

Held Saint Louis' Jason Rivers to six points in a 47-45 loss in the first round of the state tournament, then had a game-high 25 points in a 54-53 loss to Waimea in the consolation bracket.

SAM WILHOITE

Scored 21 points in a 60-55 overtime loss to Kamehameha in the state quarterfinals, 25 points in a 62-42 win over Baldwin in the consolation bracket and 23 points in a 54-48 victory over Leilehua for fifth place.

Scored a total of 30 points to help the Eagles defeat St. Anthony, Seabury Hall and Maui.

Went 5-for-8 with two doubles and also won the home run derby at the Maui High Tournament.

Went 8-for-12 with a double and six RBIs in four games at the Maui High Tournament.

Singled in the game-winning run in the fifth inning and pitched the seventh inning to earn the save in the Buffanblu's victory over Pearl City in the championship game of the Maui High Tournament.

SWIMMING AND DIVING

Junior won his third straight state 100 breaststroke championship.

Tamarah Binek, Marlene Yafuso, Tiffany Bumatay, Whitney Nekoba, Cassie Ka'apu-Lyons

Waiakea

Seniors Yafuso and Bumatay and junior Binek swam in all three relays, junior Nekoba in two and senior Ka'apu-Lyons in one as Warriors swept the relays for 36 of their 50 points to win their second straight state girls championship. The 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay times qualify for All-American.

Waiakea's best finishes in individual races were second places by Binek (100 freestyle) Yafuso (500 freestyle) and Ka'apu-Lyons (100 breaststroke)

Meredith Egloria

Freshman won 50 and 100 freestyle girls state championships, cutting 3/10ths of a second off her personal records in each event to clock All-America times of 23.61 and 51.72 seconds.

Amanda Hamilton

One of three freshman state champions, she won 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.13.

Won state 100 breaststroke championship in 1:05.63, the fastest winning time since Nadine Takai set the meet record of 1:04.94 in 1988.

St. Andrew's Priory

One of three freshman girls to win a state championship on Saturday. Hers was in diving.

Maui

Won second straight state 100 butterfly championship and qualified for Senior Nationals with her qualification time of 55.78 the day before. Earned automatic All-America for second year in a row in butterfly and also for her trials time of 23.68 in 50 freestyle.

Sophomore won girls 200- and 500-yard freestyle events at state championships.

Noa Sakamoto

Punahou

Junior won the grueling boys 200- and 500-yard freestyle races at state meet, beating out the defending champion and meet record-holder in both races in All-American times of 1:39.55 and 4:31.92.

C.J. Smith

State's top water polo player won his first varsity swimming championship, league or state, in 100 freestyle.

Hongzhe Sun

Set his third individual state-meet record and helped Iolani's 400-yard relay team set a meet record as he led Iolani to its second straight state boys championship and ended his career with seven individual titles of a possible eight. His record 200 individual medley time of 1:49.17 and winning 100 backstroke time of 50.40 both meet All-America standards.

Junior won 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly races at Local Motion State Championships. His butterfly time of 50.26 was a personal record by .23 of a second and qualifies easily for All-American recognition. He earned All-American status earlier in the season with a 21.11

Sophomore broke 24-year-old state meet record with 439.65 points in 1-meter diving, earning All-American status.

Dane Wayman, Julian Price, Jonathan Lau, Pat Morrissey, Daniel Lim

Iolani

Joined in various combinations with Hongzhe Sun and Mark Eckert Jr. to win all three boys relays at state championship meet. Eckert, Lim Jones and Sun set meet record in 400 freestyle in All-American time of 3:09.71.

Coming back from an injury in January that threatened his season, Amba won the ILH boys 215-pound title.

Senior reversed his loss in final of Eastern Division tournament to win OIA boys 152-pound championship.

Venus Bravo

Moanalua

Undefeated senior pinned final opponent, one of her numerous pins this season, to win OIA girls 98-pound title.

Co-captain defeated Punahou's Lauren Primiano 7-5 in one of her closest matches to remain unbeaten at 130 pounds and help Kamehameha win its third straight ILH title — every championship since the ILH sanctioned girls wrestling.

Like his older brother, junior overcame flu and a long layoff to win his third consecutive OIA title, this year at 140 pounds. He was the state 135-pound champion last season.

Undefeated 114-pounder won her fourth straight OIA girls championship and will attempt to be the first girl to win four state championships at Blaisdell Arena March 14-15. Her previous three titles were at 108.

In one of the state's best rivalries, Wilmore defeated top-seeded Brent Kakesako of Iolani, last year's state 125-pound champ, for the ILH boys 130-pound title.
