"Ararat": Atom Egoyan's film is about the massacre of 1 million Armenians by the Turks in 1915. Many different story threads intersect; Christopher Plummer plays a customs official, Arsinee Khanjian is an art historian, Charles Aznavour a filmmaker, Eric Bogosian a screenwriter, Elias Koteas both the lover of Plummer's son and the star of Aznavour's movie. An uptight lawyer (Steve Martin) finds his life shaken up by a con artist (Queen Latifah) in the comedy "Bringing Down the House."
