THE LEFT LANE
Naughty but nice

Candy Dandy plays bass in the all-girls band "Riff Randals."
Meet Candy Dandy, bass player for a self-described "four-piece-all-girl-porno punk band" from Sacramento, Calif., called Riff Randals. But don't get the wrong idea about Candy & Co: These hard-rocking girls are actually more playfully naughty than anything else. Think of 'em as a slightly scrappier version of The Donnas that hasn't sold out for the megabuck promises of a mainstream label yet.

Well actually, they're still waiting for that offer to come in. The Riffs will be playing with some fine Hono-lulu indie rock bands — Neural Void, Mindless Rebellion, Boy Band Jon, and Push The Pedal tonight at 8 p.m.; and Tanner Boyle Quartet, and The 86 List tomorrow at 10 p.m. — at The Coffee Factory. Both shows are $5 (which includes a free cup of joe).

The Coffee Factory is at 1372 S. King St. Call 949-8858.

Break out the binoculars, B-list celebrity watchers.

Brian Heidik, winner of CBS' "Survivor: Thailand" is vacationing on Kaua'i through Monday. The North Carolina State quarterback turned used-car salesman earned himself $1 million and 900 seconds of fame by outlasting 15 other competitors during five weeks in the jungles of Koh Tarutao last year.

The show earned a People's Choice Award for favorite "reality" TV show.
