Gaspar services scheduled

 • Ex-con was out of prison on earlier deal
 • Sources, affidavit detail what happened on fatal day

Funeral services for Honolulu Police Officer Glen A Gaspar will be held March 14 and March 15 at the Kamehameha Schools Chapel. Gaspar, who was shot and killed while trying to subdue a fugitive in Kapolei Tuesday, was 40.

Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. March 14 at the chapel with services from 7-9 p.m. Friends again may pay their respects from 8 a.m.-noon March 15 at the chapel, with a prayer service beginning at 10 a.m.

Gaspar's body will be driven by the main police station on Beretania Street between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m. March 15. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kane'ohe.
