Makapu'u rockslide closes road briefly

The state closed Kalaniana'ole Highway at Makapu'u from 2:30 to 4 p.m. yesterday after small rocks fell from the cliffside, possibly loosened by heavy rains. Protective mesh is being used to contain falling rocks after boulders fell onto the road in October.
