Associated Press

Hawai'i Pacific split a non-conference softball doubleheader with Longwood University (Va.) yesterday at HPU Windward field in Kane'ohe.

In the first game, HPU's Jennifer Baron doubled in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning of a 2-1 win.

The Sea Warriors' Malia Sullivan struck out three and held Longwood to six hits.

In the second game, Shelby Ray and Heather Williams homered for Longwood in a 7-4 win.

The doubleheader was pushed back two hours to 2 p.m. because of poor field conditions.

HPU moved to 12-4. Longwood is 4-2.
