The Pearl City High School girls soccer team had to share the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Western Division title, but the Chargers swept postseason honors in the West.

Forward Kimberly Unten was named Player of the Year, and co-coaches Frank Baumholtz and Tracee Kono were named Coaches of the Year.

Unten played for Pearl City as a freshman and sophomore but transferred to 'Aiea as a junior to play with her sister Jodie. After Jodie graduated, Unten became a Charger again and scored an OIA-high 17 goals to lead Pearl City to a 9-0-1 record and a tie for the division crown.

Unten is joined on the West all-star first team by teammate Christie Ayers, who anchored the Chargers defense from her sweeper position.

Co-champ Mililani led the way with five players on the first team: forward Liane Tom, midfielders Nicky Harris and Jen Loo, defender Mallory Iha and goalkeeper Eryn Kishimoto.

'Aiea landed three first-teamers: forwards Ambree Ako and Jodi Toyama and defender Randene Ako. Leilehua's Annie Lonaza (utility) and Radford's Christina Swartz (defender) round out the first team.

Baumholtz and Kono guided a young Chargers squad to the title despite losing All-State forward Carmen Calpo to graduation.
