Rainbow Wahine beat Tulsa, 62-48

Natasja Allen scored 16 points and Kim Willoughby added 14 points and 11 rebounds to help the University of Hawai'i gain the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament with a 62-48 victory over host Tulsa today.

The Rainbow Wahine (16-12), seeded fifth, face top-seed Louisiana Tech on Friday. The Lady Techsters, ranked No. 6 in the country, defeated Boise State, 80-55 today. Tulsa finished 14-16.

In the other semifinal on Friday, Southern Methodist faces Fresno State.

UH's Christen Roper had 12 rebounds and seven blocked shots.

The Rainbow Wahine led 30-23 at halftime.

The UH men begin the WAC tournament tomorrow against Rice. The game will be broadcast live at 2 p.m. on K5.
