Dozens of complaints have prompted state officials to change wording on signs at Honolulu International Airport.

Rod Haraga, Department of Transportation director, said the department received complaints from people who were confused after "departures" and "arrivals" signs were replaced last year to read "ticketing" and "baggage claim."
About 20 signs at Honolulu International Airport are scheduled to be reworded.
The department replaced the signs leading to the airport to comply with changes made at other airports nationwide, Haraga said.
Davis Yogi, Airports Division administrator, said the American Association of Airport Executives came up with guidelines for airport signs and graphics.
Haraga said they plan to return the words "departures" and "arrivals" to the signs, which will still read "ticketing" and "baggage claim." Officials plan to change about 20 signs throughout the airport by the end of the year.
The cost has not been determined.
