Lifeguards recognized for saving visitor

City lifeguards Ben Severson, left, and Fred Marumoto were each presented the Award of Merit during ceremonies at Mayor Jeremy Harris' office yesterday.

They and fellow lifeguard Billy Goodwin, who was not at the ceremony, were recognized for their rescue of visitor William Nathan in Waimanalo late last year.
