Tonight's Must-See
"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. After years of bland episodes, "ER" has had strong moments this season. As this episode begins, several characters are in emotional peril. Weaver bent the rules to treat an alderman suffering from syphilis. He promptly produced a big grant for the hospital. When she treats his syphilitic lover and he has a severe allergic reaction, however, she tries to cover her tracks and her ethical dilemma deepens. Carter casually proposed to Abby and was prepared to do it seriously even bringing a ring. After a talk about her troubled family, he put the ring away but she found it. Now they reassess their relationship. And Kovac ponders his crumbling career tonight while treating a teen who says she was abused at a boot camp.

"NAACP Image Awards," 7 p.m., Fox. Each year, this show provides some rousing music and strong emotions. Cedric the Entertainer hosts.
"Survivor: The Amazon," 7 p.m., CBS. It's time for the fifth person to be ousted.
"Edward Scissorhands" (1990), 3 p.m., TBS. For sheer visual style, few films can match this dazzler from director Tim Burton. Johnny Depp stars as the lonely young man who's invited into suburbia. Winona Ryder also stars.
"Scrubs," 7:30 p.m., NBC. J.D. isn't sure if he should tell Dr. Cox the truth about the paternity of Cox's ex-wife's baby. Meanwhile, the ominous janitor actually likes Elliot.
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. An old woman crashes her car into a restaurant.
"Good Morning, Miami," 8:30 p.m., NBC. Now that Gavin has made the list of Miami's Hot 100, he gets an agent and dreams of going network. Instead, he ends up on "Fear Factor."
"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. When a retired Army officer disappears, people wonder if the case reflects past secrets.
