Soccer club sponsoring college prep seminar

The Honolulu Bulls soccer club will host a college preparatory seminar March 21 aboard the ship, Kulamanu, at Aloha Tower.

High school soccer players interested in learning the process of contacting schools and coaches are invited to attend.

Chad Blake, from the SportSource, will be leading the seminar, along with college coaches.

The seminar will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and is free, but attendance will be limited to the first 300. There will be optional workbooks available for $60. For information: 377-2359 or e-mail kennethp@kapiolani.org.


FENCING

• Local competitors take medals: Nine fencers from the Hawai'i Fencer's Club came away with medals after the two-day National Fencing Competition held last week at the Blaisdell Center.

Janice Kato captured gold in the women's epee event, and Joshua Thurlow won the gold in the open epee event.
