It's prom day at Neiman Marcus

The fashion reports have been full of Prom 2003: It's all about prints, color and asymmetry. Hemlines are handkerchief, necklines are one-shoulder, strapless or halter, and pretty floral prints abound. The colors? Pink is tops, but blues, lavenders, kiwi green and coral also are making a statement.

For girls who haven't yet decided on a gown, Neiman Marcus is hosting "The Prom Event" from 2 to 4 p.m. today on Level 2 at the store at Ala Moana Center. Models will show the latest prom trends at many price levels, and a DJ will spin sounds. Refreshments will be served at the free event.
