Public invited to join officer's procession

 •  Thousands pay tribute to fallen officer Gaspar

The public is invited to join the Honolulu Police Department in a tribute to officer Glen Gaspar today as his funeral procession passes HPD headquarters before traveling to Hawaiian Memorial Park in Kane'ohe.

After a morning service at the Kamehameha Schools chapel, the procession will travel to HPD headquarters at 801 S. Beretania St. Department employees and others will line the sidewalk as the procession passes at 12:15 p.m.

The procession will go to the police station via School, Houghtailing, Olomea, Vineyard, Punchbowl, King, Victoria and Beretania streets.

After passing HPD headquarters, the procession will travel up Punchbowl to Pali Highway, and on to a graveside service and burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

Donations to the "Officer Glen Gaspar Memorial Fund" may be dropped off at any First Hawaiian Bank branch or mailed to Shelley Lee, First Hawaiian Bank corporate communications, P.O. Box 3200, Honolulu, HI 96847
