California teams will play for title

Jonathan Levy scored a game-high 29 points and Lance Ray added 21 as 16th-ranked Cal State-San Bernardino defeated 14th-ranked Humboldt State, 80-68, in the semifinals of the NCAA Division II West Region men's basketball championships yesterday at the Cannon Activities Center in La'ie.

The Coyotes improved to 22-6 and will play in tomorrow's championship game against Cal Poly Pomona.

Cal Poly Pomona beat Cal State Bakersfield, 62-49.

The Lumberjacks ended their season at 23-6.

Austin Nichols led Humboldt State with 24 points followed by Fred Hooks with 13 and Jeremy Robinson with 12. Bobby Burries scored 13 for Cal State-San Bernardino.
