Advertiser Staff

For the fifth consecutive week, the University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team is ranked No. 2 in the USA Today/American Volleyball Coaches Association's Top-15 Poll.

Of the 10 polls released this year, UH has been No. 1 three times and No. 2 seven times.

Last week, the defending national champion Warriors earned their first two-match road sweep of UCLA in the 30-year series between the teams. Since implementing a new lineup Feb. 21, the Warriors have won six of seven matches.

Pepperdine tops this week poll, earning 14 of the 16 No. 1 votes. UH received the other two No. 1 votes.

Brigham Young is ranked third, followed by Long Beach State and Lewis.

The Warriors, 15-5 overall and 9-5 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, play host to No. 6 Pacific Friday and Saturday in the Stan Sheriff Center.
