Went a combined 6-for-7 in victories over Pahoa and Kealakehe to open the season.

Kamehameha basketball

Senior wing scored 12 of her 14 points in the third period to help the Warriors pull away from a 19-14 halftime lead against Maryknoll. She also finished with four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Iolani swimming

Qualified for USA Swimming's Spring National Championships in the 200-yard backstroke and 400 individual medley. Eckert won the backstroke gold medal and was third in the medley at the Western Zone Northern meet in Federal Way, Wash. He previously had qualified for the nationals in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley.

Went a combined 6-for-6 in victories over Pahoa and Kealakehe to open the season.

RACHEL KANE

Punahou basketball

Senior guard had a total of 27 points on 57 percent shooting, 11 assists, six steals and six rebounds in victories over Mid-Pacific and St. Francis.

Maui swimming

Qualified for USA Swimming's Spring National Championships in the 100-yard butterfly and won a silver medal in the 50 freestyle in the Western Zone Northern meet in Federal Way, Wash.

Kamehameha basketball

Junior forward scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a victory over Maryknoll.

University basketball

Scored a total of 38 points in three games.

VINCENT SCOTT

Saint Louis wrestling

Coming in unseeded, defeated No. 1 seed Noah Amba of Kamehameha, 7-5, in overtime to win the state 215-pound championship.

JONATHAN SPIKER

Saint Louis wrestling

Defeated Konawaena's Ray-Ian Transfiguracion, 17-6, at 152 pounds to become only the second boy in 38 years to win four state championships.

HONGZHE SUN

Iolani swimming

Qualified for USA Swimming's Spring National Championships in three events, winning three gold or silver medals, at the Western Zone Northern meet in Federal Way, Wash. Sun is eligible to compete at the senior national short-course championships in the 100-yard backstroke, 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley. He also won a silver medal in the 200 freestyle in the 10-state zone meet.

Farrington girls wrestling

Junior won the 175-pound state championship with a pin to complete an undefeated first year of wrestling.

CAYLENE VALDEZ

Moanalua wrestling

Scored a pin in 44 seconds at 114 pounds to become the first girl to win four state championships.

KIANI WONG

Iolani basketball

Scored seven of her nine points in the fourth period and was 4-of-5 from the field overall to help the Raiders pull away from a 2-point lead after three periods to defeat St. Francis, 39-31.
