Key House votes
1. Bankruptcy
On Wednesday, the House passed on a 315-113 vote a bill to make it tougher for people to escape their debts when filing for bankruptcy. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

2. 2004 budget
On Friday, the House passed on a 215-212 vote a budget resolution that sets spending ceilings for 2004. A "yea" vote was to pass the resolution.

Key Senate votes
1. Alaska oil drilling
On Wednesday, the Senate voted 52-48 to reject a plan to drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. A "yea" vote was to reject the plan.

2. Homeland security
On Friday, the Senate rejected on a 54-45 vote an amendment to the 2004 budget blueprint that would have provided an additional $88 billion in homeland security funding to states and local governments. A "yea" vote was to adopt the amendment.

3. War costs
On Friday, the Senate adopted on a 52-47 vote an amendment to the 2004 budget blueprint that would set aside a reserve fund for war costs and reconstruction in Iraq. A yea vote was to adopt the amendment.
