Radford High brought Hawai'i its second national cheerleading championship of the year on Saturday.
The Rams won the nine-team small varsity coed division at the AmeriCheer National Championships at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
On Feb. 8, Kamehameha won the 64-team small varsity division of the National High School Cheerleading Championship, produced by the Universal Cheerleading Association, also at Walt Disney World.
There are "eight or nine" national cheerleading championships, according to a spokeswoman for AmeriCheer.
"Radford's routine had all the required elements and they executed them superbly," said Kasey Skobel, national events coordinator for Americheer.
Teams are required, within 2 1/2 minutes, to incorporate a cheer or chant, dance, tumbling and display jump skills, Skobel said.
Radford finished second to Kamehameha in the large squad division of the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association championships on March 15.
