Got four hits and scored go-ahead run in ninth inning Thursday against Mid-Pacific. Game was suspended with score tied 10-10.

Saint Louis

His fourth hit, a single, put Saint Louis ahead 10-9 of defending state champion Mid-Pacific in the ninth inning Thursday. He also hit a double and a triple.



John Holley
Pahoa

Holley's fourth hit of the game drove in the tying and winning runs as the Daggers rallied for seven runs in the seventh inning to beat Kealakehe, 14-13, for their first victory.



Kala Ka'aihue
Iolani

Homered and scored three runs, the margin of victory, in 9-6 decision over Kamehameha.



Jeffery Kajiwara
Baldwin

Pitched five-inning, one-hit shutout in 15-0 victory over Seabury Hall on Saturday.



Kahiwa Letman
Iolani

After his two-run home run in the second inning was offset by a Punahou rally, Letman doubled home the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning Saturday fora 5-4 victory. Two days earlier Letman hit a double and home run, scored two runs and drove in two against Damien.

Hit 4-for-4, drove in three runs and scored two in 8-4 victory over Maryknoll.



Kip Masuda
Mid-Pacific

Singled in tying run with two out in bottom of the ninth Thursday against Saint Louis. Darkness was eventual winner in 10-10 suspended game.

Combined to pitch five-inning, one-hit, 18-0 victory over Damien on Thursday.



Vance Otake and Jon Cayan
Maui

Combined to pitch five-inning perfect game as Maui defeated Ka'ahumanu Hou, 17-0, on Saturday.



Randy Rundgren
Mid-Pacific

His three-run double sparked a seven-run inning in 12-5 victory over Punahou. Had 4 RBIs in game.

Drove in four runs with home run and single in 11-1 victory over Maryknoll on Saturday.

Christie Ayers
Pearl City

Scored 27 points as Chargers won their first two games.



Bre Carson
McKinley

Her 14 points, nine on 3-pointers, were the difference for the Tigers against Kailua. Carson transferred into town from OIA champion Kalaheo.



Megan Ching
Kamehameha

Scored 19 and 14 points in two victories for the defending state champions.

Super-soph scored 13 and 16 points as Buffanblu remained unbeaten. ÊÊ

Sat out Friday's game because she "tweaked" her ankle, but in a "must game" against Maryknoll Saturday, Kane scored 18 points and showed the floor game that prompted Gonzaga to sign her.

Had 17 points and 13 rebounds in victory over Nanakuli.

Hit four 3-pointers and had 15 total points in 36-30 victory over Kapolei.



Pikake Nutter-Gaudet
Leilehua

Scored 19 of her game-high 28 points during a frantic fourth-quarter rally that fell short against Mililani, 49-46. Led Mules with 13 points in one-point loss to Waipahu.



Taylor Smith

Despite losing Latoya Wily and Bre Carson to out-transfers, Kalaheo got Smith, whose family returned from two years in Rhode Island in time for her to score 26 points as the Mustangs won their first two games.

UH-bound Solia scored 35 points, including 22 in 49-39 victory over Kalani.



Latoya Wily

After a year at Kalaheo, Wily scored 29 points as the Red Raiders won their first two games under new coach Wendy Anae.

Shot 1-under-par 71 at Kalakaua to lead Kailua to 10-stroke victory in weekly OIA East event.

Improving by 12 strokes under her average of the past two weeks, shot par 72 in the weekly ILH tournament Saturday at West Loch.

Her 1-over-par 73 Saturday at West Loch was 10 strokes better than her average in the two previous ILH events.

Shot 2-under-par 70, an improvement of six strokes over his best round this year, in weekly ILH tournament Saturday at West Loch.

Making a smooth transition from wrestling, in which she won the state 108-pound championship seven days before, Torres scored two ippons (10-point victories) as the OIA season opened Saturday.

Set Vernon Sakamoto Memorial meet record of 10:07.3 in the 3,000-meter run.

Threw discus 156 feet, 5 inches to win Ralph Martinson Invitational by almost 18 feet.



Chun Mei Nickles
Mililani

Senior pole vaulted a meet record 11 feet Saturday at George Yamamoto Invitational. The height would have won last year's girls state championship, in which she placed second.



Mei Lee Nickles
Mililani

Chun Mei's younger sister won six blue ribbons — 100, high jump, long jump, hurdle relay, 4x100 relay and triple jump — at George Yamamoto Invitational. Her best mark was a meet record 35-6 hop-step-jump.



Quinton Beaver
Kahuku

Put shot 55 feet, 11 1/2 inches at John E. Velasco Invitational. Distance is 1 foot, 9 inches longer than the gold-medal put at last year's state meet.



Tamatoa Silva
Kamehameha

Outraced the defending state champion to win 100 in 11.16 at Ralph Martinson Invitational.



Waika Spencer

Won long jump (21-3), triple jump (43-4) and high jump (5-10) at Ralph Martinson Invitational.

Senior won girls 1,500 in meet record time of 5:14.8 and also won 3,000 at Vernon Sakamoto Memorial meet on Friday.
