Tickets are $100. All event proceeds will be directly deposited to a custodial fund created by Smith Barney Inc. for Gaspar's two daughters, ages 11 and 13.

Gaspar, 40, died in the line of duty March 4. The 12-year veteran of the Police Department was shot while attempting to subdue a fugitive in Kapolei.

Shane Mark, 28, is awaiting trial on first-degree murder charges in the case.

"Police officers are our neighbors, brothers, sisters, kids and friends," said restaurant owner Don Murphy. "(I) hope that everyone who respects our police as I do can take this opportunity to enjoy the day and contribute to the future of these young girls."

Businesses have donated some food for the event, as well as door prizes, Murphy said. Much of the music will be by police officers.

Additional donations to the Gaspar fund can be made at Murphy's. Checks should be made out to Smith Barney Inc.

For more information about the event, call Murphy's at 531-0422 or Don Murphy at 585-6442.
