JENE M. BIXLER, 81, of Kailua, died March 26, 2003. Born in Kenton, Ohio. Retired U.S. Navy commander and decorated air combat veteran. Survived by wife, Patricia; son, Brent; daughters, Susan Bixler-Wilcox and Gretchen Bixler-Robinson; five grandchildren; sister, Marie Bixler-Bone. ANGELES ALEXANDER FERNANDES, 93, of Honolulu, died March 18, 2003. Born in Honolulu. State of Hawai'i auditor, accountant and independent businessman. JOHN LAWRENCE HENRY TODD, 79, of Westminster, Calif., formerly of Ho-nolulu, died Feb. 7, 2003. Born in Hawai'i. LESTER CHOSO ZUKERAN, 93, of Kane'ohe, died March 19, 2003. Born in Waipahu. Retired research vessel captain for the Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology at Coconut Island with more than 40 years of service; member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and recipient of the Purple Heart. Survived by daughters, Yvonne Schreck, Kay Zukeran-Chinn and Amy Zukeran; three grandchildren; brothers, Charles, Walter and George; sister, Susan Tawata.
