Tonight's Must-See

"Hollywood High," 6 p.m., AMC. Here is a surprisingly well-crafted and honest documentary. The subject is drug use in the movies. Director Bruce Sinofsky found some frank people who have something to say. They include directors John Waters, Penelope Spheeris and Jim Jarmusch, actor Willem Dafoe and "Traffic" writer Stephen Gaghan. Most are familiar with drugs, either directly or (through friends) indirectly. They've seen Hollywood go from the silliness of "Reefer Madness" to the naivete of 1960s films and the sophistication of "Traffic." This film is rich in clips and depth.

"Masterpiece Theatre: Daniel Deronda" conclusion, 9 p.m., PBS. In Sunday's opener of this lush miniseries we met Deronda (Hugh Dancy), a deeply decent guy who was adopted by a rich man. He saved a young Jewish singer from suicide and got her some singing jobs in high society. We also met beautiful Gwendolen, who needs money and is set to marry the cruel Grandcourt (Hugh Bonneville).

Of Note

"Biography," 6 p.m., A&E. Julia Louis-Dreyfus was young when her parents divorced. She spent her childhood shuttling between two families — one rich and the other richer. She also put on shows at home and at Northwestern University. Suddenly she was swept to "Saturday Night Live" (at age 21) and "Seinfeld." Here is a fairly interesting portrait.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. Ray isn't sure what to make of it when the mother of his daughter's friend pats his butt.

"Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story," 9 p.m., USA Network. If you missed the Sunday premiere, catch it now. It captures the range of Giuliani's career. James Woods is excellent.

"Crossing Jordan," 9 p.m., NBC. Jordan tries to comfort the mother of a teenager who died in an explosion. Then the story takes a sharp turn.
